At Right Turn Ministries, we believe that sometimes life takes you down the wrong road—but God always provides a way back. We’re here to help people find that “right turn,” whether it’s through faith, service, or just a whole lot of grace.

We’re not perfect (nope, not even close), but we serve a perfect God. Our mission is simple: share His love, serve His people, and make an impact—one heart, one life, and maybe even one bad GPS reroute at a time.

So, if you’re looking for direction, hope, or just some good company on this faith journey, you’re in the right place.

Cheryl Shoffstall

President & Executive Director

By day, Cheryl works full-time as an Allergy Services Manager for a busy ENT office. By night, she is a wife to Jim, and a mom to a grown son, Adam, who has made several trips to Honduras to serve by her side.

Cheryl serves in various ministry opportunities in her community, but her heart lies with serving the people of Honduras. She made her first trip to Honduras in 2005, and it was there, her life of service was forever changed.

In her spare time, she loves to spend time with her husband Jim and serve in ministry together with him.

Jim Shoffstall

Treasurer

Jim’s sole job is to oversee the finances of our ministry. He is responsible for handling all of the donations in, and payments out. As a non-voting member of the RTM team, he brings accountability and integrity to the financial side of our ministry. Jim works full-time as a Critical Care Paramedic for Joachim Plattin Ambulance District.

He has a deep love for God, his family, his job, and the patients he cares for. When not working his full-time job, or doing our ministry books, you can find him volunteering his time and talents to his local church by cutting their seven acres of grass, as well as his elderly neighbor’s grass. We are excited to have Jim as a part of our team.

Allison Rust

Secretary

Allison is a full-time Radiology student and a devoted mother of three. She and her husband, Ronny, share a full house multiple pets, and even a growing flock of chickens. A self-proclaimed bookworm, Allison enjoys reading, writing, and unwinding with a good murder mystery. Allison has always had a heart for organization and administration, naturally bringing structure and clarity to everything she’s a part of. After experiencing her first mission trip to Honduras, she felt a deep calling to return and continue serving the people there. Witnessing the unwavering faith of those with so little left a lasting impact on her heart. Allison uses her gift of administration, attention to detail, and love for people to serve the ministry with excellence, helping support its mission of sharing the hope and love of Jesus Christ.

Ronny Rust

Director of Media & Technology

Ronny is a disabled Veteran, creative visionary, and problem-solver with a passion for technology, design, and building things that make an impact.

Ronny first traveled to Honduras without hesitation, simply answering the call to go. That experience changed his life and led him to bring his entire family on a future mission trip. Although PTSD from his military service now limits his ability to travel, his heart for the mission remains just as strong.

Through his role in Media & Technology, Ronny uses his creative skillset to support the ministry behind the scenes—developing the website, systems, Merchandise and digital presence that help extend its reach. His passion is to ensure the message of hope, faith, and love reaches as many people as possible.
